Meet the Team

Keith Maynard, CPA

I love helping people. There are many CPAs out there that provide public accounting services; however, I do things differently. After graduating from Baylor University in 2009 with a Master of Taxation and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting, I began my career in public accounting. I experienced the traditional entrance into public accounting at Deloitte Tax LLP, and then found my way to a local accounting firm based in Waco, TX.

I loved my time there as I was able to work with individuals and businesses of all shapes and sizes. Over the last decade of my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients across the spectrum with tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping services, controller services, and virtual CFO services. Within tax compliance, I’ve had the privilege of working with everything from simple individual tax returns, to large real estate partnerships with 500 partners.

My experience includes industries such as real estate, restaurants, manufacturing, retail, professional services, medical professionals, and churches.

Scott Layton, CPA

I started my career in public accounting performing audit work for a regional firm in Kentucky. After a couple of years in public accounting and becoming a CPA, my wife and I moved to Waco for her to accept a staff position with Baylor Volleyball. In Waco, I’ve served as the Accounting Manager for Preemptive Love, an international nonprofit, and as the Controller for Family Health Center. I’ve loved getting to work for two missional organizations with impact that is both local and global. During my career, I have developed a passion for implementing new systems, building teams, and creating innovative processes. I am currently enrolled in Baylor’s Executive MBA program to build upon these passions and learn new management skills.

I enjoy all things active, but especially tennis, golf, running, and working out. My wife and I love playing card games with friends and casual mornings at coffee shops. For the last few years we've had the goal of visiting a new state and country every year. Additionally, we’re expecting our first child any day now and look forward to all the adventures that he will bring.

I am incredibly excited to be joining the Maynard CPA team and I can’t wait to serve the clients that have been a part of turning Waco into our home.

Allie Morosini, CPA

I am a Colorado native who journeyed to Texas for college. I thought I would pay my penance for four years and get back to the mountains and cooler weather as fast as possible. But during my time in Waco, The Lone Star State slowly grew on me. Upon graduating from Baylor University with a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration, I started my career at a local Waco accounting firm. I had the opportunity to invest in local businesses and individuals and worked on a wide range of tax returns and projects. Since I can remember I have been passionate about people, their lives, and their stories. I quickly found that is exactly what I love about working for a local firm: partnering with individuals. It has been a joy to serve the Waco community and am thankful to continue doing just that at Maynard CPA.

Susan Huey

I love working with small business owners. I started my career in 1984 with a local small business as a bookkeeper. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with different businesses of all shapes and sizes. The roles that I have enjoyed include being an assistant controller, an accounting software consultant, an in-house accountant for a local real estate developer, and currently, a Senior Accountant for Maynard CPA, PLLC. I have always had a love for numbers and I enjoy working hard alongside business owners to help them achieve their goals. I am proud to be born and raised in Central Texas. My husband is a pastor at a local church,  and we enjoy serving the community together. When I’m not working, you will find me sitting on my front porch watching my three grandkids play.
